Ben Risinger is a 20-year veteran of the media and public relations industry and moved to Grand Rapids in 2013. Ben spends his days as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Imaging Office Systems, a technology company. Risinger is currently an adjunct communications professor at Davenport University and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Most recently he was the new media and community relations specialist at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital.

Before coming to West Michigan Ben served as Founder/On-Air Personality of DoItIndy (television show on Fox 59 WXIN, Indianapolis) and co-owned a communications agency, Somnium Media. In 2012, Risinger was honored as one of Indianapolis’s “Best and Brightest, 40 under 40 in the media realm. He was also chosen as one of the Top 100 public relations professionals to work in social media in 2013 by Sparkah.com/Forbes magazine. Risinger has spoken at more than 50 regional and national events in the public relations, marketing and digital media realm. He has worked for small businesses to medium sized business to Fortune 500 companies in consulting work for digital media and public relations.
In his free time he enjoys teaching, competitive swimming and the gym, music (#311unity), being a fanboy, reading comic books, volunteering in the West Michigan area and exploring what Michigan trails and outdoor life.
