Ben Risinger has more than 20 years experience in the digital media, marketing and public relations industries and moved back to his hometown of Anderson, Indiana in 2022. He is an award-winning practitioner who has been published in Ragan’s PR Daily, Ragan’s Healthcare Daily, PR News, Public Relations Society of America, American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association and more. During the day Ben works with select clients and is an associate faculty member at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and adjunct professor at Anderson University in public relations, marketing and communications. Risinger is the former Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Imaging Office Systems, a technology company based out of Indiana from 2021-2019. From 2013-2019 he was the New Media and
Community Relations specialist at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. While at the hospital in 2019 he was chosen as outstanding intern supervisor of the year for Grand Valley State University for leading the Laker communications interns at the hospital.
Before going to West Michigan, Risinger served as Founder/On-Air Personality of DoItIndy (bi-weekly television segment on Fox 59 WXIN, Indianapolis) and co-owned a boutique communications agency, Somnium Media.
In 2012, Risinger was nominated as one of Indy’s “Best and Brightest, in the media, sports and entertainment category. He was chosen as one of the Top 100 public relations professionals to work in social media in 2013 by Sparkah.com/Forbes magazine. Risinger has spoken at more than 50 regional and national events in the public relations, marketing and digital media realm. He has worked for small to medium sized business to Fortune 500 companies in consulting work for digital transformation and public relations.
In his free time he enjoys teaching, competitive swimming and the gym, music (#311unity), being a fanboy, comic books, a new found love for succulent plants, volunteering at local non profits, and exploring the outdoors.
