Holland Tulip Time Festival

Part of living in West Michigan is experiencing Tulip Time and enjoying all the colors and culture that Holland, MI has to offer. I had the opportunity to attend the event this year for the second time and I have to say I had a lot of fun. Good…adult, chilled fun. A couple of friends met me at New Holland Brewing Company in the downtown area for lunch, followed by Dutch wooden shoe dancing (looks like it hurts?!), the always fun carnival and finally Windmill Island Gardens. I do love to eat and have to admit to getting an elephant ear from a food truck. So delicious.

The event is perfect for people of all ages and I do suggest it for families – kids love the Tulips too! 🙂 Windmill Island costs to get into the park, but other than that this is a free event. Free besides an elephant ears and carnival rides.

Plus, Holland, MI is just a fun town that is located on the water of Lake Michigan. Check out all it has to offer for a nice, weekend getaway. Relaxation at its best. Ahhhh!
